Currently the track doesn't pay for a photo website anymore. Pictures are available at the photo booth every week along with a book with thumbnails of all pictures taken so you can order prints from.

Racing Discussion / blackrock officials
« on: October 21, 2012, 12:14:32 AM »
so i think that someone needs to defend bob buono.  I dont even know the whole outcome of the deal but from where i was standing which was where the cars come on the track.  i watched the official at the end of of pit that motion bob to enter the track to get him out of the way of the oncoming wreckers which was fine until  mr. hot rod on his side by side atv comes flying out of the infield right in front of bob. so bob hits him a rolls him over but was obviously on the brakes or he would have took him for a ride down the track on his lid. then after they make sure mr.hot rod is ok he and several others go and exchange words with bob which i believe did nothing wrong. so my interpretation of this deal is that the track personnel was blaming h.bob for this accident , also it appeared that they told bob to exit the track.  so i believe that the official that told him to come on to the track and the other officials that had words with bob should apologize to him for the misunderstanding.  I am sure that i am not the only person who saw the situation this way. and further more that guy is always flying around there like an ***** i dont believe that track personnel should be flying around on four wheelers  they should be in trucks for there own safety and the drivers safety as well. its hard enough to see a truck coming at you from the side when your strapped in let alone a damn four wheeler going way to fast

CRATE SPORTSMAN RULES SET FOR 2012 AND BEYOND AT THE WOODHULL RACEWAY

(Woodhull, NY)     Some 30 Crate Sportsman drivers that compete at the Woodhull Raceway attended an open meeting with Woodhull Raceway Track Officials on Sunday, January 22, 2012 at the Woodhull Volunteer Fire Department.

During the discussion a number of different topics were addressed, however the main topic of conversation centered in and around the mandatory GM power plant.

Racers that plan on competing in the S&W Awards and Photos Crate Sportsman Division at the Woodhull Raceway in 2012 will see the following rules additions to the existing rules package:

A maximum gear ratio of 6:58.

A $3,300 engine claimer rule with the following stipulations.  The car/engine of the claiming driver and the car/engine being claimed both must finish in the top ten in the feature event and the $3,300 money must be posted with the Pit Stewart prior to the start of the Crate Sportsman feature.

Any engine that IS NOT sealed prior to the start or during the 2012 season must be inspected and sealed by the Woodhull Raceway Technical staff before the car is allowed to compete in the Crate Sportsman Class.

Any engine (components inside the engine) that is found not to be conforming to Woodhull Raceway Crate Sportsman criteria, the driver of that car will not be allowed to race in the Crate Sportsman Division at the Woodhull Raceway for one calendar year.

Beginning at the start of the 2013 race season it will be mandatory that all engines in competition in the Crate Sportsman Division will have to be sealed with an official GM Seal.

All existing Woodhull Raceway Crate Sportsman Rules still apply.

In addition track owner, Ted White and his technical staff discussed the possibility of the track purchasing additional tooling to better police the GM Crate engines including a Whistler as well as a Valve Spring Checker.

Also, drivers and track management discussed ways that race teams that compete in the Crate Sportsman Division can use the Street Stock Class as well as off road and street applications to aftermarket their used Crate engines.
