to ponder

It was brought to my attention that more then a few people were spotted with older wristbands that were taped back on from other tracks or even no wristband due to passing it to someone else since they were in the pits for the night. It is hard enough for not only Star but all short tracks to make ends meet without having to have income basically stolen from us. With this the following policy will go into effect starting Saturday.

If a person is found to be in the pit area they will be escorted from the pits and to the pit window where they will be buy a pit band and have another $20 added on to the pit price. They will also have their picture posted on Facebook as one of the reasons why the short track industry is in trouble.
If this person is associated with a team - be it crew member, wife, sister, cousin, friend, if you are in that teams pit area you are associated they will also suffer the consequences of your actions. That car will have the equivalent of that days pit price deducted from their accumulated points total for the year. So For example Saturday will be a 45 point deduction. Or if you and the person you got band from are together it will be 90 points and so on. This could be very costly both points wise and points fund wise to a team. Should the people be from a Tour team, an amount of double the amount due that cars payoff will be deducted from that tours event purse.
Yes this policy is tough and may seem harsh but so is losing money to these people that have zero respect.
We will have people wandering the pits Saturday looking for no bands and bands that do not appear legit. These people may not have a Star, NASCAR or Bobby Webber Racing shirt on as we don’t want to tip people off and allow time for them to hide in a trailer.
Just giving people an ample warning time to think about what you have done to cause this policy and time to think about what you may do in the future.
