« on: August 20, 2009, 10:08:17 PM »
I need to know the ratio of 2nd gear on a 350 turbo. Also the ratio of 2nd gear on a glide. Thanks!

I am pretty sure the Turbo 350 ratio is 2.52 in first gear and 1.52 in second gear, if I am off then the number is 2.48 in first gear and 1.48 in second gear but I am pretty sure it's the first set of numbers, now on the powerglide the 6cyl trans is 1.82 in low or first , the v8 transmission is 1.76 in low or first.

Roughly 1800 to 2000 RPM's, it's too hard to be exact because of engine displacement and Horse Power differance

Ron Hutter always used to tell us taht  for every 10 points of gear you go up, its 100 more rpm
" If the radiator cap fits, The whole damn car will!"      Beware the Fury in a patient man.
