Chuck Powelczyk dominated for years until very recently at Brewerton and Fulton, driving a VW Rabbit. Don't believe there was any high horsepower there. But I never tore him down either.  ;D ;D ;D

And Fulton and U-R are going 358 for the headline division, replacing the Big Blocks, in 2018

I like this thread, so let's hear about a few more from days past....Dave Seils, Tommy Leeson, Bud Schilling, Bobby Hudson, Cam Gagliardi, Danny Mason, Gary Mason, Vic Lewis, Leo Lewandowski, Dick Fowler, Ralph Holmes, Norm Schmidlin, Harry Peek, Jerry Hayes, Graeme Bolia.  FYI, I met Vince Randisi at a car show in Spencerport in 2012 or 2013. He was actually in the middle of a boat trip in the Erie Canal and stopped by my car to look it over and to chat...nice guy, and he won a lot of Super Stock races!  Also, just recently met Ron Martin, who had some success in the #4 Modified at Lancaster in the '70s. He apparently attends most of the current races at Lancaster as a spectator....nice guy too.  Next!

Ralph Holmes still owns and operates "Ralph's Collision" in Oneida. In fact, he just opened a mechanical shop just a little west on Rt.5 too. He's doing well.

The Tech Barn / Pinto spindles...
« on: August 01, 2017, 07:25:30 AM »
Working on Dale Campfield's old Modified and would like to use Pinto spindles. The question I have is the car is rear steer, so will it make a difference switching sides on the spindles? They shouldn't know what side they are on.

John gave so much to our sport. He discreetly gave monetary help to many racers. Thinking of Sandy and family. Makes me feel a little better knowing John and Dad are up there racing together once again.

Racing Discussion / Re: Drug testing at weekly race tracks
« on: September 25, 2014, 02:17:07 PM »
The "instant result" pee cups where you go in a cup and insert the test strip is NOT accurate. False positives are common with that type of drug testing. Occasionally, they do not test positive for people that have been using as well. But the false positives are more common.

Just so you know, NAPA Gold filters are WIX. The NAPA race filter is the same as the WIX racing filter.
