RACE-1 MOTOR SPEEDWAY TO HOST 5 STAND-ALONE RUSH KARTING SERIES EVENTS FOR 2021; RUSH KARTS ALSO ABLE TO COMPETE WEEKLY AT RACE-1 WITH COMPARABLE CLASSES

(DuBois, PA)...After a successful inaugural season despite the COVID-19 pandemic wrecking havoc, the RUSH Karting Series is pleased to announce that Race-1 Motor Speedway, DuBois, Pa. will be hosting five stand-alone RUSH-sanctioned events on Friday nights throughout the 2021 season. Race-1 will also permit the RUSH Karts to compete in their comparable classes on a weekly basis until enough karts warrant them to run separate; however, RUSH member racers will be able to accumulate points for their respective finishes.
The addition of Race-1's events in conjunction with the steady growth at home base Stateline Speedway Karts not only throughout the 2020 season, but especially during the offseason moving into 2021 continues the Series' positive forward momentum in developing the RUSH Karting Series into the future. The Race-1/Stateline combination of Speedways will give RUSH karters a strong Friday-Saturday combination of venues to compete at in the Northern part of the region.
On April 23, May 21, June 11, July 16, and August 13, Race-1 will offer all four RUSH divisions (Amateur, Jr-1, Jr-2 & Adult) the ability to compete. Drivers will be able to accumulate points toward their valuable individual 2021 RUSH Karting Weekly Series Championships.
"It's great to see the RUSH Karters have the ability to compete at another track that's centrally located in the region," acknowledged RUSH Director Vicki Emig. "As with all of RUSH's big car divisions, the first year has always been the most difficult. The pandemic hitting was certainly no help either, but as the year progressed we saw interest grow and accordingly so did the karting numbers. There continues to be so much interest in the northern end of the region, and with the addition of Race-1 Motor Speedway we're really looking forward to seeing the turnout once things get rolling in 2021. We have to thank Race-1 owners/promoters Andy and Sherry Watt for giving the RUSH racers this great opportunity to race there."
As a reminder, RUSH racers can also participate at Shaffer Speedway in Aliquippa, Pa. once again on Wednesday nights in 2021.
Race-1 is a 1/8-mile high-banked dirt oval with approximately 14 degrees of banking. The track, which is owned by Andy and Sherry Watt, is located seven miles from Interstate 80 off exit 101 at 152 Lines Rd., DuBois, PA 15801. This season will be the 24th at Race-1, which operates bi-weekly on Friday nights beginning in April. For more information, check out their website at
