John white provides a great track for everyone to enjoy. He seems like a great guy. They might be able improve on safety. I suggest you call him with your thoughts before bashing the track on here. Everyone want a place to race.

Racing Discussion / Re: Street Stocks at Shang II May 29th ?

I will be there with my street stock. I agree with fink with the open tires. But i think if you run a 10 inch tire it should be a used tire. Then the guys with the f75 stand a chance.

Im the one that posted this idea about the blue tooth few weeks back. I agree with dw. If we can find a way to link it to the tracks website to the pa and and listen with your phone. new fan can use it as a tool. Fan should also be remined to check the tracks web site when there waiting for car to come out. New fans can use that to see who  is driving what car and what there racing backgound is.

Keep up with the times. Pioneer a blue tooth you can put in you ear and hear the anouncer. Fans would love that set up. No one can hear whats going on when the mods are running. Keep the cost down on racing. crate engine are great. Be loyal to your racers and amit to them when you made a mistake.  Build up a high car count. Fans will follow.

My family started taking me to shangri la back in 1980. I wasnt even 1 years old. I watch and rooted for the car my grandpa bruce burdick owned for years. I never missed a week. All i ever wanted to do is race there. When i was 23 i built my own car and went racing. If the zacharias family didnt lease the track and keep it open i would of never had that chance. Thank you zacharias famiily for that. I miss that place.

i think jimmy z is one of the best we have seen in this area in a long time. He puts on a good show  everytime he is on the track.
