not sure on the outlaw LM
Eldon King just registered.
I think Sam went home before qualifying-practice speed was a bit slow and am not sure if King took a time trial. Looks like 55 late models took time trials with Eddie Macdonald from Mass fast time followed by Cdn J.R. Fitzpatrick second. A number of no shows and perhaps the Jukasa pro lm rules permitting cambered rear ends, Penske shocks and the trick tranny scared a few away. The Ontario APC series does not permit those and it was said it would cost $8000 to upgrade most cars otherwise you're bringing a knife to a gun fight. Show was rained out Sunday after the first lm heat which had a fist fight between a local and a Tenn driver after a crash. Will resume circa 10am Monday. Weather still might be a factor
ps-super late models were down to 19 and I believe the Bozell (Bosell) 8 won, Like super mods-fast but fragile. The Ontario base of cars is down to about a dozen on a regular basis-no longer sanctioned by Oscaar. Support div on Saturday was the Oscaar hot rods which is sort of a mish mash of what some folks think late models looked like in the 70s-around 17 of them
eldon did do time trials was like 48th. saw he had damage.
crazy fight on the track as well
Stephen: I put the American driver's comment about the incident on the Stock Car Racing in Ontario facebook group-quite interesting. Said he was getting doored for two laps before the incident, Mike
