I remember my dad talking about the great painter/letterer called "the Spook". Can anybody talk about him?

Bob Sparklin did a ton of custom airbrush work on rods and a lot of vans in the 70's....also did work on many of maynards cars to....he painted out of inters collision on Lyell across from the old Delco plant...I think he did murals on bill cane and Don whalins cars too

I'd rather be a "has been" than a "never was"

He did a ton of drag cars too, specifically the WCMF "ribbon candy" artwork--and his work was also sought out by many for their own street vehicles which won many show car awards!

I used to race slot cars with him, at the Model Raceways store, at the corner of Dewey and Ridgeway Avenues, in Rochester. That was around 1965-66.

Did my friend Jim Wurtz's Duster drag car back in the late 70's. Doubt he'd get away with his logo these days! Spook did it again! Did great work......
