Racing Discussion / Re: Lancaster speedway and the big ten
« on: June 26, 2015, 02:03:11 PM »
I want to make a much longer post about soon (busy day for me today) this but for now I just have to commend Lancaster Speedway Staff & Tech, Big 10 staff and tech and ESPECIALLY Chris Vogler, John Unaman & NYSS tech.

The two series' officials worked well together and well with Lancaster tech. I was nervous and skeptical about the details but I was really-really surprised. The NYSS guys "supervised" the motor tech, which was done correctly on my opinion. My motor was tubed to measure cubic inch first. Then my motor was whistled with the blue box to measure compression. Richie & Ross Holmes from Lancaster ran both but Chris & John from NYSS watched closely. And on my motor Lancaster officials looked for approval from Chris and John to ensure it was done right.

Everything was clean, legal and I got the approval from NYSS, Lancaster & Big 10 tech.

I just want to say thank you to all involved. Honestly, great job! This is only step one, but it was a big step! Thank you guys!

I know exactly what you mean and I'm for it. I was schooled in racing in NC for years to slam the hood on anyone who came close, that was just my job. It's engrained into me. Thus my demeaner at the racetrack because an ounce of information about "this or that" in the hands of the right team/driver looks like a mile on the racetrack.

True or False, that's just what I was taught.

I'm VERY VERY up to it and excited about it. Its just really unique. I try to get as far away from the "operations" part of the series as I can. And I'd like to commend Larry for doing such a great job with everything. It's a great idea- just something that i wouldn't have thought of.

Joe, I feel like your comment was written with me in mind with respect to the Big 10. And I can see that the quieter I stay the worse things are.  I respect and trust you as an impartial party and I have absolutely no problems with you going thru the same process at a Big 10 race on my car. I care much more about the health of the super stock division than I do about winning or anything else and I agree that there's not enough room, people, cars or money for two series to survive at the same time. I just want a place to race - so whatever it takes to make that happen I'm up for...

Racing Discussion / Re: Clarification on Big 10 schedule

Pay for the Big 10 winner is always AT LEAST $600 to win, Shang pays (and will continue to pay) the winner $700. Very cool if u ask me... I wish I could be the damn 1 or 46 to get my hands on that cash tho!!!

Racing Discussion / Re: Attention Lancaster street stocks
« on: March 11, 2015, 03:38:29 AM »
Safety is not an issue - but it is an insult to the street stock guys. Im sure they don't appreciate it. The Lancaster Street Stocks can obviously make any changes the Big 10 rulebook allows them to make. This a great idea and a nice bonus for teams who have the time off anyway.

Chris, I've tried to stay quiet and remain classy but your constant trolling and bashing of the Big 10 is embrassing and sad- none of us bother you. Most of us even support the NYSS. I know I speak for many when I ask you politely to just grow up and leave us alone.

The Big 10 Super Stock family rewarded two of our own last night at our banquet.

Congrats to Joe Fetzer for winning our "Spirit & Dedication" award & congrats to Pete Pieczynski on winning the "Perseverance" award - both well deserved. Thank you guys for your loyalty and congrats!
