Just 14 days until the green flag drops on the 2013 Empire State TQ Midget Series season. We have been hard at work setting up a decent 2013 schedule which will include a few special events and one of the largest guaranteed weekly payouts. All ESTQM Series events will be a minimal of at least $100 to take the green flag in the A-Main. Guaranteed CASH in your pocket for supporting the ESTQM Series. As was posted prior we have also secured a minimal $5,000 Championship Purse of which will be generously distributed amoung ALL ESTQM Series memebers who compete in 90% of all ESTQM Series races.
For those drivers that will be joining us for the first race May 4th at the Elegant Builders Raceway Park there are a few changes in the race proceedure.
1.Drivers will need to sign in at the ESTQM Series tent after paying for your track fee's at the EBRP entrance.
2.Upon signing in, ALL drivers will PIN PULL for your starting heat position.
3.There is NO registration fee for the ESTQM SERIES. You pay the track fee's and that is it.
4.Pin pull will end at 6:00pm or 30 minutes prior to the start of racing.
5.The first race of the season the EBRP request the TQs to join their drivers meeting. We will also have our own drivers meeting prior to or immediately following the EBRP drivers meeting to go over any questions you may have on race day.
6.Drivers MUST be ready when called or you will go tail, period.
7.One-way radios MUST be worn and working at ALL times on the racing surface. This includes practice.
8.ALL drivers must scale after heats at the ESTQM Series scales which will available for testing prior to the heats.
9.A predetermined number of cars from each heat will redraw for starting feature position.
*12-16 cars 2 heats top 4 from each heat.
*16-24 cars 3 heats top 3 from each heat.
*25-33 cars 4 heats top 2 from ewch heat.
10.All starts will be when the green flag drops and not until then. Cars must remain nose-to-tail cone until the start of the race. Cars can not break line until the start of the race. There is NO inside passing going into Turn 1 on all starts and restarts. If a driver does ANY of this the penalty will be 2 spots AND how many positions gained. The penalty will be assessed at the next caution flag. If no caution the penalty will be assessed at the end of the race.
11.Starts will be double file until the halfway or if 2 consecutive failed restarts.
12.A minimal of the top 3 cars and ONE random car will report to scales and tech EVERY fewture race. Failure to report DIRECTLY post race is an automatic disqualification. There is NO stopping once you exit the racing surface. If you car can not make it to the scales and or tech by itselft (blown motor, flat tire) it MUST be escorted by an ESTQM SERIES official.
13.There is a 15 minute cool down period before any ESTQM SERIES offical may be approached in protest by any driver or crew member.
14.No driver or crew memberr may work on the car until tech is complete or directed to by the ESTQM Series tech official.
15.Once tech is complete, payout will be available at the ESTQM SERIES TENT. No waiting till the end of the night.
