I just don't understand some of these crazy rules this has got to be the smartest virus known to man kind with the rules they have put in place to stop it.  In the very beginning the only mask cleared for use was the n95 that are supposed to block small particles and once compromised with saliva and moisture after a few hours become compromised.  These mask are not highly recommended for reuse.  You rarely even see this type of mask in public. Then you have the surgical mask you commonly see are designed to only block large particles and these mask are meant for 1 time use.  Then you have the "sock" idk about everyone else but most of my socks and scarves if lightly pulled on you can see skin underneath!? What are we protecting here. I know I can't get enough masks to replace mine and my families everything i go out and i hardly doubt many others are either.  There has been study sneezes can go up to 13 feet yet 6 feet is fine.  There has been studies covid can spread from flushing toilets with airborne particles i bet most people don't keep mask on in the john.  My kids don't need mask at a restaurant but they do in school?  You social distance in the airport but last time I was on a plane in May your crammed right together just makes me scratch my head. I feel bad for the families who have lost someone to this..but because not everything nationwide was not shut down or COULDN'T  be in the beginning all we did was slow it and its gonna continue to spread and they said that in the beginning it will continue I am not gonna loose my quality of life for a year or two until the next pop up bird flu swine flu excedra its bad enough my kids generation is going to grow up thinking we should handle every pandemic/flu like this 6 feet apart, wear mask, stay home, skip school, collect big unemployment and i fear for the new America that will emerge out of this. How is it they can control crowds at races to protect health  of others and take away that freedom but you can riot and protest and thats ok what about people spreading the covid and becoming a health risk there, OH wait i forgot they are expressing themselves and thats ok if people die from that why didn't they get shut down?  Better yet we worry about the lives lost from this sickness but what is abortion totals sorry for the long talk actually I'm not!

Racing Discussion / Re: NASCAR bans Confederate flag

My thing with the whole thing is how does banning the flag really help i think now they are making the people who are quiet and never voice their opinion mad.  WHATS NEXT if your Brazilian or French or another ethnicity who's to say you your flag doesn't offend someone  are they gonna ban them dare? Dare I say it and I mean no disrespect just point I am trying to get across but what if you were Jewish and complained about a German flag flying at a racetrack pretty sure nascar would say well thats to bad where is enough enough..

From what I was told they are running a limited schedule for the legends of like 5 races. Also if you like at chemungspeedrome.net they have the legends included for the 2020 rules.

I hope it doesn't go unnoticed especialy by outsiders whether racers/ fans how much work went into trying to turn the program around at chemung. Ray and ellen had an uphill battle all year. They had no guidance no financial backing other than life savings and put a fantastic team together and put it all on the line for passion and love of a facility and the sport.  A lot of great sponsors stepped up to help put and show the southern tier loves asphalt racing and it's not dead.  Some people from time to time may not have been happy with decisions or choices made but over all it was the best season that I can remember.  The car count might not have always proved it but the decision was released late and car counts are struggling at most places in general and these folks deserve to see good things happen at this facility.  It says a lot to have 18 races on the schedule and onle 1 rains out and they still made it up that's INCREDIBLE to me and shows how much they care. Last year 4 times it rained out on an 11 race schedule and 0 where made up.  That goes to show how much they care and want to make a place for people to race. I hope it continues and thank you ray and ellen you guys dont know how much you really are appreciated.

The stands were not full I would say well over half close not quite 3/4 but what you probably didnt see from the picture was all of the fans on turn four bank in lawn chairs that probably would have filled the stands the rest of the way pretty easy plus the fans on turn one bank in lawn chairs as well.

I am interested to see what happens at chemung this year. There has been an extreme amount of effort put in by Ellen and Ray hodge. There has been a lot of sweat and frustration that him and his wife have been up against trying to put a facility together for a season with not a lot of outside help and I have heard some of the struggles first hand they have had to deal with and I got to give them a lot of credit.  They have put there money where there mouths and are trying to turn things around having 17 or 18 events on the schedule and I heard roughly around 19 sport mods committed this year.  Granted a couple of the other classes car counts may struggle but if that car count is accurate I think that is impressive.  To get to your point yes the tracks need to work together and have the same rules though I agree.
