Question about Dirt Mod wheels and Offsets
« on: May 23, 2015, 06:35:48 PM »
I know the LF is a 10" wheel and the standard wheel for the rest of the corners is 13". What is a 14" wheel for? is it a RR to Reduce Stagger. Also, is a 12" wheel for the RF. As far as wheel offsets. I think you move the right side wheels in with a 5" offset when the track is slick and move the wheel out when it is heavy. I don't have a clue as to what offsets to run on the left side of the car and why. Any help would be great. I'm running a Dirt sportsman with Mod tires and wheels. Thanks Doug

What chassis?  Are your rear end tubes the standard lengths?

All the standard stuff on a Bicknell is:
LF - 10x4
RF - 12x5
LR - 13x3
RR - 14x3

Just running the standard stuff is best to start with.  Switching wheel offsets, you should also know what it does on the scales.  For instance, space the LR wheel out 2" and you'll lose 30-40 lbs of wedge.
