The promotion team of Dick and Shelly Stark owners of Thunder Mountain Speedway are pleased to announce the first motor sports show of its' type in Cortland, N.Y. slated for Saturday, March 28th, 2009 from noon until 9:00 p.m. at the J.M. McDonald Sports Complex on the Cortland County Fairgrounds. This show will have a motor sports enthusiasts flavor as several area race teams that compete at both Thunder Mountain Speedway and Skyline Raceway have committed themselves to showcase their race cars for all the public to enjoy. Not only will the world of stock car racing be highlighted, but other types of racing as well, such as Microd, Go-Cart, Drag Racing, and Radio Controlled racing will be represented in full force. Racing type vendors will be there as well with commitments from photo vendors to Nascar collectibles, tee-shirts, jewelry, embroidery, etc. There will be music, food, door prizes, and a guest appearance from area Elvis Pressley impersonator, Wayne Curtis wooing the crowd with some of his music. DJ Rick Uhl will also be spinning tunes throughout the day. Entry forms to display your race car are available by contacting Dick Stark at (607)533-4118. It will be on a first come - first serve basis, as space may be limited with the overwhelming interest already expressed. Vendor booths are available at just $75 for the day, very reasonable indeed.
