EARLY EVENING RAINSTORMS NIX OUTLAW SPEEDWAY FALL SERIES EVENT #4

Story by Kenny Shupp Jr.

(Dundee, NY) After a beautiful October 2 Autumn day, late afternoon/early evening rain showers cancelled the 4th night of the Outlaw Speedway Fall Series.
“The weather radar looked promising all day, stated Outlaw Speedway owner, Tyler Siri.  We thought we were in great shape with a favorable forecast and cool temperatures which would have made for a great racing surface, but Mother Nature had other ideas.”

The first round of light showers came at approximately 6:30 pm so it was decided to wait it out.  However, another band of light drizzle followed shortly thereafter, and Siri had no choice by to throw in the towel.
Since Outlaw Speedway was allowed to open on June 5, 2020 by New York State Authorities this is only the third night the track has battled weather.  On two other occasions early evening showers made for a late start then on July 10 hard rains after all the qualifying heats were in the books forced the track to suspend racing with all features made up at later dates.

“I guess we can’t really complain, stated Siri.  Since we fired up in early June, we have been fortunate in having good weather.  Tonight, it just bit us”!
With the cancellation it sets up round #5 of the Outlaw Speedway Fall Series on Friday, October 9, 2020.

Gates for the event open at 5:30 pm with hot laps at 7:00 and racing at 7:30 pm.
