Here's a pic I took of Bud Ward's car at Waterloo Speedway (Maplegrove). I believe the year is 1976. As you probably know Bud is Pat Wards Dad and usually raced FORDS.

Terry, isn't that the car that used to do "double duty" as a modified, with Vega "tin" on it??

That was the 'true' supermod that the Turners built after the Vega. The car originally had a blower on it instead of the carb. Oswego started to frown on the 'double duty' car so they built the one in the photo.

Oswego may have frowned on it because the car won as a Mod and finished 4 th as a Super, in 1974,on the same day.
Joe Magari also ran  a "double duty" car after the Turners, and ran it until he destroyed it at Oswego.

The double duty car got outlawed due to all the crybabies like Bob Stelter.  Guys like Shampine never complained.

DIRT Trackin' cover...Jimmy with the sprinter and a "Big Car" from the thirties...I thought it was cool in that I have been researhing Tri-Cities Speedway in Big Flats which ran in 1938 and this is very reminiscent of what they were driving back then.
