What does "Potolski for Cars" mean? It's at the bottom of the rules. Here's a latemodel pic with Walt Mitchel from the 1973 Weedsport program. Carl Rice photograph.

Some more Latemodel action from the 73 Weedsport program. Carl Rice photo. Car zero looks like he might be on pavement tires so it's no wonder he's losing it!

I have that program. I wonder who's on the cover?? :) Actually if you look at the Sandman pinto in that program, I'm almost 50% sure that may be Ciprich's #48. He said in an interview that he bought the #48 from Sandman.

Here's a pic from that program Bigfeet, showing Ciprich leading Cagle. It does look like the Sandman #12 Pinto is the same car as Ciprich's own #48. I don't actually remember the Sandman Pinto so I wonder if they ran it for very long? pic by Mills.

This is what he was driving earlier in '73. This program is vol. 3. I vaguely remember this car. I believe it was a blue #12 Gremlin. Not sure if it was a Sandman car though. Russ mills photos.

And, a Sandman Late Model!!!! 1972.

The 12 Gremlin  was also driven by Bob Sandman and I do believe John Podolak. Ed LaPadre owned one of Ciprich's 38's.

Now that I see the pic of the Sandman Gremlin I recall that and it was blue but still don't ever remember seeing the Pinto though obviously I would have been there when those pictures were taken. Here's the 1978 DIRT circuit champ Will Cagle at Syracuse.

I find it absolutely amazing that Will Cagle won just about everything there is to win, but Syracuse eluded him like a school skipper would a truant officer.

And Dale - take a look at Cagles car again. Is that a mirror hanging from the roof?
If they can have artists, pianists, florists, dentists and bicyclists... then I must be a racist.

Buzzie still looks great!  I wonder if Aaron's will be sponsoring him in 2012?

I saw him dominate Weedsport and Rolling Wheels, but I never saw him run well at Syracuse. I never went to a Schaefer, but I went to 5 or 6 Labor Day races

:) Maybe that's because he was too busy looking at what was going on behind him instead of what was going on in front of him  :D
