I believe the 28 would be Bill Roese? If memory serves me correctly he used to travel to weedsport from the Utica  area. Bobby Lutz would have been #58.

Now that you mention it, I believe you are correct on the 28!

Well, I remember Bobby Lutz driving a yellow mustang #300 (although I'm sure he drove other cars), but Bill Roese is correct. He was friends with Bud Moore. If you look close above the rear wheel it says Bud Moore Engineering.

Jumping back a little from the Shampine super, current owner David Hollinger is the brother of a good friend of mine, Rex Hollinger. Not only does David have the 8-Ball, and the Sweet 16, he also has a street-legal Super (complete with wing) that he uses on occasion as a push truck for the Midgets & Sprints in the local (Florida) antique racing club... The DAARA group.

I have some shots on another computer that shows the street legal car push starting the 8-Ball on it's initial fire-up. Pretty cool.... One Super pushing another.

Here's a Bob Lutz photo from the RWR program. Lewkowski photo I think. Seems there were quite a few Ford latemodels running back then. The Chuck Kennison-Bob Teed 9X for one. Too bad we don't have that kind of diversity anymore. Except for Mini's I think the only Ford we have running at Woodhull is Davis' Modified.

Does anyone happen to have pictures they would be willing to post of the car driven by Rusty Smith from Oxford Ny. The particular modified was I believe a Rabbit Bodied modified. Like the one Dick Clark had driven .  I think the number of the Smith car was either 134 or 34. I am not sure.  If I recall the smith car was a fine looking modified.  Any pic's would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks.

Another drivers car I'd like see was gentleman Jackie Naum. He had some real sharp latemodels and a Javlin bodied Modified at one time. Any pics would be great! Here's one from 1972 NYS fair race. pic by me.
