I ain't saying nothing, as it is not my place. File this under hope springs eternal.
And oh, BTW, I'll be at Jack Arutes' Stafford Motor Speedway for the Fall FinalDid you hear the collective groan from the huddled racing masses? Yeah, I didn't either.
there will be torn up racecars of epic proportions.Sounds like something from a Cecil B Demille classic. I'm a scared to go now.
Thank you Ronald again for your valuable input.
WCIS should probably change their date for the Fall Shootout, with this going on now.
For any of you questioning how many ROC cars "might" be at this race, if I remember correctly, there were 30 or so at the spring ROC race! I would anticipate as many for this race! AND damn I won't have to pay $4.00 for a bottle of water and $24.00 for a 6 pack of beer!
Well you choose to buy the beer, but for families with kids it will be too expensive now, kids 17 and under free at Oswego, now another full tix price, that will leave a lot of people out.
Mayhem, Have they posted the pricing somewhere? I haven't seen it yet.. Oswego is 16 and under is free but the ROC weekend is leased by Andy and he sets the prices. not Oswego or now Chemung.
For those out of town that is going and want a good place to stay, O'Briens Motel is just a few miles from the track and would be a great place to stay.
Should make qualifying for the features
exciting again.......maybe some consi's will be needed.

We have been to every RoC show / wknd the last 3/4 years at Oswego, and we have never paid for a ticket for my daughter. We would go in the office get our tix, they would ask her age, did ask for her ID the last 2 years but they never charged us for a tix for her. I have not seen new ticket prices as of yet, probally be similar to Oswego, maybe a few bucks cheaper.
Will it be fun, of course, FUN as you make it. Will it be perfect, NO but its at Chemung where there is always something exciting going on and this event will be no different. One thing is going to be for sure the racing is going to be great. As fans what more could we ask for, there is plenty of lodging close by 2 golf courses nearby if that is your thing, I'm sure the camping will be better then people think. Always made the fall brawl our last racing outing of the year so now its something new so before everyone comes down on it why not try and enjoy something new and different and make it a great weekend of racing , as fans we should embrace the racing what ever track its at!!! I for one will enjoy every minute this event has to offer and hope others do too!!!
After reading Andy's ROC Facebook explanation and all the facts and discussions involved in making the decision to move the event, I have only one comment....
If you're at the race in October, I'll see you there, if you're not, I won't.
Regards,
Moselli

Looks like we are going to have some cross promotion between the NorthEast Race Cars Tri Track Open Modified Series and the Chemung Speedrome / Race of Champions . The winner of the Aug 8 ROC race will get a guaranteed spot in the Sept 13 The New London-Waterford Speedbowl race. The winner of that race will get a guaranteed spot in the ROC 200 at Chemung on Oct. 4. The winner of the ROC 200 will get a guaranteed spot in the Oct 25 Speebowl race. Would love to see a few of our cars car to the NY track, and hopefully the ROC will continue to show its support at the Tri Track races like they did at Seekonk.
