Great racing tonight at the DROME, What can you say about the B mod feature Sharpsteen and Ziener get together with Zane getting into the rear of Gene's car while trying to miss Gene's car that got loose. Both cars go to the rear where Ziener comes back to finish P2. Ziener driving the 4 car for the Youngs the car was rebuilt from an earlier wreck the car was finished late Fri afternoon. Zane put on a great show coming back thru the field after the mess up with the 7 which I believe Zane admitted was his fault after the race. Congrats to Zack Curran as he ran hard and got out front and having the two-lap restart at the end with a driver of the class of Ziener beside him just shows how much he has learned this yr. Again the people running the track have shown how it should be run and hopefully it will stay that way .94 hotdogs WOW!!!! keep it up, Zack

Last night at the races I brought a few new people to the track to watch for the first time and after building it up how good the track had changed. I was disappointed. As we stood to the left side of the tower after the Bandolero race there was a very how should I put this. A Loud very Aggressive lady getting into the face of a track official to the point I thought this lady was going to hit the man. The two people I brought to the race decided to take their 3 kids and leave. I have no idea who this lady was but have seen her there many times. Now I know from being at the races for over 60 yrs these things will happen after an adult race but for a race where the drivers are what I don't know for sure the age limit, but maybe 8 to12 it was uncalled for. The driver to which I believe was her family member came up from the pit area. I do not know a lot about it but it seems the lady has it out for this track official Jerry Sinsabaugh. When I got up this morning as yes I stayed for the whole race I called my new friends that I meant at church and explained to them this usually doesn't happen at least not in the fan area. But the words that were coming from the Ladies mouth were very brutal. And although the adults enjoyed the races they will most likely not bring their kids back and very possibly not return themselves as they are a family first family meaning kids go where they go. I want to commend Mr. Sinsabaugh in the way he handled himself he let the lady berate him yes there was a lot of yelling but THAT IS RACING right. I will continue to pay my money every week to get what I get out of the sport but most likely not invite anyone that doesn't know racing. I know there has been a big push to get this track to a point where new fans and cars will show up and yes these 2 adults and 3 kids won't be missed. Or will they

It was a great day for racing at the Drome and also a sad day as Ken Canestrari was to run his last race and his car broke. But the racing was also great all divisions put on a great show. The Mods were a little crash crazy but seeing it was the first race for most of them it was still exciting watching Hirshman and Sherwood come back through the field to a fifth and 3 respectively. I am a fan of Zane Zeiner and haven't seen him run in a while he also had to come back through the field after running most of the race in the top 4. The Hot Shoe got a little hot early bumping Zeiner coming out of 4 taking himself out of the race as he was running in the top 5. And what can you say about Chemung own Zack Curran running his sports mod against these regular ROC Mods? Perfect start for the new folks running the track Thanks Ray for keeping this gem open hopefully the regular shows will be as much fun.

Okay so I guess I'm wrong I have been going to the track for 40 yrs when it was open. I can remember when it ran Friday night in the 70's I worked 2 shift and made it a lot but either calling in sick or vacation time Even getting grinding dust in my eyes just get out of work to go to the races. I just know some drivers that will find it hard to get to the track on Fridays. And Chris you will be there anyway I'm guessing. I'm ready to retire so I may make a few races at the end of the yr and as I said I hope it works out for Ray and crew as I have loved going there. Hope it keeps running

I just wonder how many cars they will lose by going with Friday nights. Most local drivers work on Fridays and then have to to the shop to finish up the car and make it to the track in time. I know at least 4 drivers/cars that had trouble getting things done in time for Sat nights when they had all night Fri and Sat up till 4ish to make it on time and a lot of fans work 2nd shifts and will miss the races I know I and 4 people and their families we bring won't be making it. We made the trip every Sat. So we will only be able to see results on the press releases every week and most likely will just give up on it, and have to find another track to support with our money. I hope for the best for Ray and that he can keep it going. Sad Race fans

Why would some change a tire if they knew they would be DQed. Makes no sense to continue to race and take the chance of destroying your car knowing you were not going to get paid .no matter where you finished. Maybe did it to get a read on what the car will do at another race there is the only reason I would guess.

So then there was no way anyone would have known if TJ had an illegal crank then as some had said at the track

9
So TJ had his crank pulled and passed so he was dq for tire

10
I thought Tj was DQ for an  illegal crank

Great come back JR Kent in Granpa's old colors and number 26  to bad TJ got wrecked again this week not sure what caused that wreck. Was surprised not to see the 15 SS there, the 89 the 7 and 71 RJ put on a good show going up against the ROC cars for a while all in all a great night of racing well worth the 20.00 OH WAIT 17.00 for the old guys. Also nice seeing some old racing friends from the past

Last night was the first night I have been to Outlaw in a lot of yrs. I am a fan of paved track racing and enjoy going to Chemung on Sat nights. But I must say Tyler runs a first-class entertaining track. They ran one heat right after the other no waiting and the racing was great huge car count but I don't know what every Friday night is like but I would go back. Hopefully Jimmy Zacharias is doing ok was a scary wreck.
