2020 ROC MOD SHEDULE
« on: January 16, 2020, 05:43:55 PM »
I just read the latest copy of Area Auto Racing News and it says per Joe Skotnicki that there will   be 3 races at Spencer,2 at Chemung,2 at Holland,2 at Lake Erie and 1 at Mahoning Valley for a total of 10 with the possibility of more being added.I think this is great news for all involved.

I believe that's how the English pronounce it.

So what could the ROC schedule look like?  Always fun to take some guesses as what it could look like

Based on rumors, past schedules, and what I've actually read -

Saturday, May 2 or May 16  - Chemung

Friday,  May 29 or June 5 - Spencer

Saturday, June 27 - Lake Erie

Saturday, July 18 - Holland

Friday, July 31  - Spencer

Saturday, Aug 15 - Chemung

Friday, Sept 4 - Spencer

Saturday, Sept 26 - Lake Erie

Saturday, Oct 3 - Mahoning

Again, all Spencer dates are guesses, and Chemung's schedule hasn't been released yet, so sort of guesses there too.

I haven't heard any good rumors  of a 2nd date at Holland other than what I read up here,.. But if true, where do you think it would go in the schedule?

Yup!!

With respect to the schedule, it's good to see the 3 dates at Spencer. Hopefully, neither the "neighbors" nor the track owner put the squash on them.

With the Awards Ceremony being held last night, I was hoping to see and/or hear of an official announcement detailing the 2020 schedule.
2021 Next: Bubba Raceway, Volusia Speedway, New Smyrna Speedway.

So Fred, this isn't ROC but the Evergreen schedule is released

https://www.evergreenracewaypark.com/schedule

Sundays only this year - April 26, May 17,  June 14, July 19, Aug 9, Sept 13 and Oct 18

Plus add in some Mahoning races - http://www.mahoningvalley-speedway.com/schedule.html

Saturdays, April 3, May 30,  June 20, Aug 22, Oct 3

Looks like a large number of PA races for me

Jim - For Mahoning Valley, I also have Aug 1 on my schedule.  The quadruple 16's could be quite interesting.

I'm thinking the silence (I hear only the crickets chirping) is a pretty good indication of what is or is not happening behind the scenes.  We can only hope that Spencer Speedway hosts a few events in 2020; my favorite being the Friday night of Labor Day weekend before the Whelen Tour event at Oswego.

Phredo: There actually has been quite a bit of noise lately. There is a site on facebook, "Fans of Spencer Speedway" that has some news on it including 3 ROC shows at Spencer.

If you look above at LIM's schedule predictions, it is really quite accurate on the tracks with some dates still to be determined. From what I am hearing, their may be a second Holland date in the works.

While not a fan of the split between Lancaster and the ROC, it should actually add 2-3 mod races overall to the Western New York/Southern Tier area, so it isn't all bad.

I know it's easy to get frustrated with the unknowns and all but try to remember we are 2 or 3 months ahead of schedule as compared to last year..........kt
2020: New Smyrna (5)...Sebring...Penn Can...Mahoning Valley(2)...Lernerville...Lake Erie (4)...Chemung...Lancaster...
