Racing Discussion / Lancaster 2015
« on: June 07, 2015, 09:58:37 PM »
I personally took my first trip to Lancaster Speedway last night for this racing season. (I had been previously but first trip of 2015).
First thing you notice is a brand new brightly colored sign out by Gunnville Rd. As you pull into the track you notice everything brighter with fresh coats of paint and brand new boards on the grandstands. The bathrooms were very clean, food was tasty, and the officials were MORE than friendly and accommodating. The show was organized and officials were visible everywhere to answer any questions/issues a newby (me) would have.
As for the racing surface....UNBELIEVABLE!!!! Smooth as glass, the only way it can be explained is for you to see it for yourself. I could not believe the amount of improvements made since September.
Rather than add to the regular trend of negativity on raceny I would like to reach out and let the people responsible for these improvements know that it has not gone unnoticed. THANK YOU and keep up the good work.

Thank you

If anyone has any photos or videos of the finish in the Super Stock race at AIS Saturday night 9-20-14 please PM or email me at themadman09@yahoo.com. I was not personally there but many people have contacted myself and Tommy insisting that they are 100% sure the #21 crossed the line first. The only way to be 100% sure is photo/video proof. Any help is appreciated.

Thank you in Advance
Mike

« on: July 12, 2014, 01:29:48 PM »
Does anyone have Pete Pieczynski's contact information?

For anyone that does not know Pete,Pete is a great, stand up guy that loves to race. Pete lost his father recently and his mother has recently fallen ill. Please keep Pete in your thoughts and prayers in the coming days/weeks.

If anyone knows how to contact Pete please let me know. I just met him last year racing with the Big10 but he is a great guy.

Thanks in advance

Anyone have any input on rear gear for Lake Erie in a super stock?

If anyone could relate the gear at these tracks to Chemung or Holland that would be great.

Thank you in advance

Racing Discussion / Thank you NYS Big 10 Super Stocks
« on: September 30, 2013, 10:51:15 AM »
I would like to send out a personal Thank you to each and every individual who dedicated their own personal time and effort to make the Big 10 series a success. I had a dream come true Saturday night by winning a series championship that did not even exist in 2012.

First off, Joe Mancuso! I hope everyone understands the amount of time, effort, and energy Joe has invested in this series, he formed it for cripes sake. Not only did Joe form the series, but he fielded a car (or two) each week as well. This series last winter was "a dream" on raceny. Thank you Joe!

Secondly, Larry Woodruff. Larry stepped up as the race director of this series and believed in it BEFORE it was a huge success. Larry ran this series as if it was the best series going, did not take no for an answer and the end result was THE BEST DAMN SERIES IN NY! Again, countless hours of his personal time, along with being a DIRT official (we will have to work on that  :) )dedicated by him for no monetary gain. Thank you Larry!

Third, Phil Arrigo, Nick (Sorry i cant think of your last name), and the other tech officials we had assisting throughout the season. Again with no monetary gain and a handful of angry drivers each week, Phil and crew kept coming back to each and every race to support the series and help make it a success. Thank you Guys!

Lastly, The Big 10 Drivers. We traveled over 5 hrs some weekends to follow this series and one of the most rewarding aspects of this season were the friendships made and GREAT people that I met this year. What a great bunch of guys. Without the drivers, good clean hard racing, and dedication to make as many races as possible the series not be nearly as successful as it is.

Thank you everyone, I know there are otehr key individuals i did not mention but i have went on long enough. The NYS Big 10 Series is ALIVE AND WELL and will be even stronger in 2014.

Very Truly Yours,
Mike Ramos     #09 Ford

Racing Discussion / Big10 Super Stocks at Spencer 8-2-13
« on: July 26, 2013, 03:14:38 PM »
Spencer's schedule shows the big10 race being 50 laps on 8-2-13, but the Big10 website shows it being 25laps.

Is this a 50 lapper or 25?

Thanks
