Wow where are the vats on a off day.
Where are the cars on a off day is what I Kent to say.
I have to say that I am very disappointed in the turn out today by the stock car racers and the fans. this was to be a great show for the kids but the rain on Sat hurt us. We wanted to put the show on for the kids and really thought that we would have the amount of racer's and fans to support a show like this. the cost of this show will set us back 4 weeks I will say thank you to all the racer's that did come out today and the fans thank you and I know you all want to see us succeed and we are grateful .

And it never occurred to him that a big reason the crowd was so light was the $25 admission he was charging. Something that stuck in my mind was in a press release from I88 within the last couple years. The release was for an upcoming big modified race for which they were charging I think $16 or maybe $18 general admission. One of the promoters (don't remember if it was Jamie or Ron) was quoted in the release as saying something like, "We know what our fan base can afford and we can't charge more than that." I dare say that Ralph has no idea what his fan base can afford.
You hit the nail right on the head Groundpounder. Especially when you have a total of 24 cars across three divisions.
25 would have been okay if he would have had the ROC mods there as well or some other series but for only 24 cars he was crazy to think he would have alot of people in the stands
As far as i was told from friend who went is that their was 70 people at most in the stands.
Fore me to go as a family of 4 it would be $60 that's hard to spend on 3 class's
I hear you guys a couple of weeks ago it was 22$ at Holland for the ROC show Canandaigua was 12$ for Bigblocks then when we got there it was free for military and first responders we got in for free we ate there like hogs to repay them they gave away 5 sets of tickets for the cup race at louden the place was elbow to elbow and I will guarantee they paid a bigger purse than Holland did that night.
24 cars isn't bad...
Which division had 24 cars?
There were around 23 late models at Humberstone last night.
15 bucks to get in.

BINGO! It's allot easier to get a few bux each from a ton of fans (concessions), then it is to get a ton of money from a few fans. I'd be willing to bet that Holland has their largest money making regular race this sat, cuz every fan there should get in for free by getting tickets at kwik fill. That leaves plenty in their pockets for beer, and we all know what happens to your grip on your wallet when the wobbly pops start flowing.
i remember when track would let you in half off or free if you owend a chevy next wk ford or they tryed it what town you lived in save money at gate spend more inside on food and beer
I have it on good authority that (un-named) Speedway won't lower the price because "if we lower the price eventually the same fans will be all thats left and then we make that much less".
