Racing Discussion / Re: Thank you Penn Can!
« on: 14 Aug, 2013 18:40 »
all the racing was great last night! especially the IMCA feature.. yes, as usual, the surface was great! dust/mud were no issue and the track was fast! i told my wife, man i hope the track looks this good friday!  ;D Glad to hear the official is home and recovering from the accident. It was great to see how quickly, and professional the situation was addressed. being a weekly racer at penn can, and thank god never had a bad accident there, but its always good to see a track right on top of the safety. im glad penn can keeps an ambulance on grounds every single night, before hot laps even start!. Kudos to Al, reed, and the whole entire crew on how well they run a show. its not often i sit in the stands, but last night i was impressed! im glad to call penn can home.  ;D

Racing Discussion / Re: rules for tracks
« on: 06 Dec, 2012 17:55 »
i have no complaint about 46% rear rule that skyline has as long as i can add weight to get to that like steve said. but it would be great if all tracks either get the same rule, or skyline do away with it, just for the simple fact that the same car without changing set up can run at any track. i also dont mind the smogger head deal. i ran a set of 882 last yr and never had a problem. i went with double humps this year just for the simple fact of smaller chambers. and i definelty noticed a difference in power. but still wouldnt mind either way as long as EVERYONE was on the same ball field... to be honest i think all the rules are pretty close for the most part from track to track. and it honsetly would take much to make one set of rules for all tracks. although im sure that will never happen. it would be cool to get the few top competitors in the class from each track to meet with promoters/ tech inspectors and make a set of rules once and for all!  ::)

I think you are allowed to have one, as long as it doesnt go past the front strut tower. I would double check the rules to be safe.
i checked the rules and was unable to find anything about it. but i found a phone # i can call. just thought id ask. thanks guys

Racing Discussion / blackrock enduro ?
« on: 05 Nov, 2012 19:42 »
i was curious if anyone knows if we are allowed a hoop/ bar to protect radiator on fwd enduro cars. i havent ran since the first year and arent sure where that rule has ended up. i remember cutting one off at the track before. any help appreciated.  ;)

Im my opinion it was the 600cc mod race that took over an hour to complete 20 laps, a sprint race that took an hour, and a ROC sportsman race that took almost an hour that robbed 2 REGULAR classes of their chance to race.
atta boy for ya steve! we supported that track every single week all year. perfect attendance. actually for the 2nd year straight. and since we are "just" factory stocks, we get put at the tail of the show for heats and feature. i hear alot of people saying, "where is all the factory stocks?" and we get a show of 16 and then all get sent home. i think this will probably hurt the class for next season. not a very good way to treat drivers. jmo.  :-\

i run a dirt purestock/ factory stock. i run afco shocks on all 4 corners. how long do u run shocks before replacing them? i was super happy the first time i hit the track with brand new afcos. but my car seems so have slowly lost its great handling. thinking maybe its time to replace the shocks?? if i had to guess i would say these shocks have about 80-100 full nights of racing. average of about 25- 30 laps a night... whatcha guys think????:o ???
