There is a lot of problems trying to dyno an engine to catch a cheater, first problem is, the engines are production engines not precision engnes, thats where the name blueprint came from, ( trying to get an engine to the original OEM specs ) Second and probably the most important is NOBODY including GM has a set of specific guidelines to be followed when dynoing an engine, eg. what fuel, what ignition timing total, what operating temperature, <- and that is a big item, what steps is the dyno supposed to be run at, 300 rpm steps or 600 rpm steps ? Last what HP correction factor should be used ? I personaly think the crate engine program is bogus, take off the seals and let tech guy's check the engine, don't make them just stare at an engine bolt with a bogus Logo on it and declare the engine legal. JMHO
