if you look at performance body, front bumper mounts to outside of the frame rails and outside of the cover,if this helps you.

when brewerton started this class, they were getting about 16 in the first year, more as the season went on.one thing the track did the first year was they paid for the IMCA license for the driver if they were building or had a car.after the first year, some nights you actually had to qualify to make the field as the car count started to grow.so it may take a year or so but i think average car count will even out to about 16-18,not including specials.we had some guys that were able to convert their street stocks to imca cars with a little work, that might be a little tough today with the cars that are running in imca today, giving rear suspension changes.still a good class and a pretty good group of guys where ever you race.

buy the imca mod,use either the 3 link or leaf car, when you get ready, you can switch to a 4 link car.3 link  and leaf car easier to set up,stays pretty consistant.4 link take a little finess when it comes to set up,(shock set up,spring package, driver).get used to the car,ask a lot of questions, most of the guys that race around here are pretty good guys to race with.a lot of used cars in the area and reasonable to buy.build a decent 327/350 and go have some fun.try to find a car that someone has raced, see if the have the set up sheets avail.i know jj is pretty smart,he learned from some pretty good people.just my 2 cents for what its worth.good luck.

the same thing happened at utica rome, had the track announced that there was going to be a meeting regarding imca and checked to see if there were other classes thinking of switching to imca, then they would have found that there was in fact other drivers looking at imca mods as alternative to what they were racing.i cant tell you the intrest that people had because they sick of crap the had to deal with in street stock/ pure stock/p ro stock classes, regarding rules etc. tracks dont promote imca as well as it should be,money sucks,i could go on,but,at least you can load upthe imca mod,go to a different track or state,as long as its imca and run the car,you cant do that with DIRT car.just my 2 cents.thanks.
