I think it is way too early to start speculation on these tracks. The 2019 season is not over yet.

Holland no to full year yes to partial schedule
Lancaster would say something yes to partial schedule.
Spencer is the big question mark

Hard to survive weekly racing anymore should be special events at all tracks maybe twice a month higher-paying races

Not really gives the racers time with family and to catch up on other things one of the biggest issues and things to hurt auto racing is the creation of social media

I think social media is an important tool that, if utilized effectively and with a proper strategic plan, can pay positive dividends.  Unfortunately, you can't control it completely.

I can forsee special event schedules for Holland/Lancaster as being the chosen route and would hope that the same would continue for Spencer...I really enjoyed working the shows that I did there, the atmosphere and racing were fantastic!

I think we've reached a 'shakeout' period where only a handful of operations can succeed with an old-school style weekly program...

Regardless of schedule, diversifying your platform is essential...that means doing motorsports-related things (like crash a rama style events, monster trucks, etc) as well as things that, while not necessarily competitive-based, will draw new audiences to a venue where they can be exposed to the racing elements in an attempt to cross over customers.
I'm making perfect sense, you're just having a hard time keeping up! ... Matt Smith (Doctor Who)

I, too tend to believe that the cost of racing, at least in the "upper" classes, has been priced out of a "weekly" activity, for many of the owners/drivers. And as much as I'd like to see Spencer Speedway continue to operate, they're STILL, after all these years, fighting with 3-4 "neighbors", who are trying to get the track shut down for good. Sad situation....

Furthermore, while somewhat off the topic, the NASCAR Monster Cup series ran a race at Indy this past weekend. Even though the race ended fairly early, the Rochester daily newspaper had nothing but the finishing order, listed on the "box score" page.  No other mention of the race. They did, however, have 3-4 full pages of drivel on the Buffalo Bills game, as those guys actually won a game.

I think we motorsports fans are facing an even tougher, uphill battle.
