The Tech Barn / Vintage dirt mods
« on: 11 Feb, 2012 12:56 »
I was going to get a IMCA Mod or dirt sportsman, but have decided that is a bit more than i want to bite off.

So i may get into vintage dirt mods. I am thinking late seventies mid eighties body style. The new body style before they got so fat.

Anyone here into the older stuff? Or know any for sale?

Thanks

The Tech Barn / IMCA Mod or Dirt Sportsman?

I have been thinking of going IMCA Mod racing, but now wondering if a sportsman would make more sense.

I know the sportsman will be more money to race, tires cost more and torsion bars to buy.  But also there are more places to race a sportsman.

So what do you see as the pros and cons of both classes?

Thanks

Hello,

My name is Keith Bliss. I live in Burlington NY. Matt Roberts (MJRKat) told me about this place. A long time ago i raced the red and white Nova #78 Street stock/Pro Stock at Fonda, Folton, Brewerton and Utica Rome, more recently i raced a Sportsman at Afton. My best year was 1987, 9 wins at Folton and 1 at Brewerton. I may have raced your dad   8).

So now in my old age (but not all that old) i am looking into a IMCA modified. Matt has already given me some info, but any advice and input will be greatly appreciated. I will likely race at Afton.
