Jack Reome Picks Up Super Pro Win at Skyview Drags

(Tioga Center, NY) Skyview Drags did all it could to complete the full afternoon of racing on Saturday, July 25th. The make up events from Saturday, July 11th was completed with no issues but the rains came following that and forced officials to call off the regular scheduled events for Saturday, July 25th.

In Super Pro action, Jack Reome of McGraw, New York won the elimination rounds over "Snortin" Steve Morton. This win is Reome's third of the 2009 racing season.

Ray Thurston, IV of Towanda, Pennsylvania won the Pro division over Tim Zyla of Sayre, Pennsylvania who was the runner up. This is Thurston's first win of the season after he suffered many mechanical issues in the early part of the season. Zyla has had a very successful rookie season and made it to the final round for the first time this season. This divison contiunes to have the most cars registered with 42 signed in the pit area this week.

Brent Garcia of Cincinnatus, New York has dominated the Bike/Sled division this season. On July 25th he picked up his fifth win of the year over Randy Teed who finished in the runner up position.

Kenneth Roberts of Ulster, Pennsylvania won the elimination rounds for the Premier Autoline Street Class defeating Gary French.

In the Junior Dragsters, Amelia Scofield of Newfield, New York defeated James Forbes of Esperance, New York who finished in the runner up position.

We are just past the halfway point of the season and some of the exciting upcoming events include: The IHRA Pro Am Event (August 7th-August 9th), The Bike/Sled Shootout (August 15th), The Junior Dragster Shootout (August 22nd) and Night Under Fire (Labor Day Weekend).

This Saturday (August 1st) it is 660 ET Series Racing for Super Pro, Pro, Bike/Sled, Premier Autoline Street Class and Junior Dragsters along with the make up races from IHRA Thunder Jam held on July 18th. Gates Open at 10:00am and Junior Dragsters kick off the action at 10:30am. Grandstand Admission is $10.00 for Adults and Kids (12 and Under) are FREE.
