It seems that at every track I go to , I have a certain area I like to sit. Except for Oswego.  I still haven't found the best seat in the house.  Any suggestions?

Also, reserved seats.. Do most people buy reserved seats?  Where exactly are the reserved seats?  Is it all in the enclosed section?  Front side rows g-o  ???

ANY SUGGESTIONS?

I wouldn't worry about getting reserved seats.  Sit on the backstretch, the higher up the better.  The view is better and you won't need ear plugs.

If you want reserved seats you have to reserve for all days, can't reserve for just one day.  Also the back stretch which is the best place to sit is NOT opened on Saturday.  I wouldn't want to sit under the metal cover for 8 hours, but that's what they are forcing people to do.  AND remember NO food or drink can be brought in the track.  So if you have a child, you'll need to run back and forth to your car all day and miss the racing!!  Just doesn't make sense!!

Another good viewing options for fans, is high up in Turn1.  I know for a few spotters, that is the optimal place because you can see all of the track, including Turn 1, which you lose sight of on the backstretch, when spotting.

$80 to get a 4cyl in the door on friday. $50 pit pass and $30 to register the car. and then another $20 if you want to do the all day practice. I can understand that much for a modified or late model but $80 to just get in the door for a 4cyl is absurd. I still dont have a reply on the payouts but I cant imagine its close to that to take the green.

I personally like turn 4 where you can see them take it deep into turn 3 and power out of turn 4.  You also get a great view of the pits.  You do lose a bit of turn two.  There's usually lots of room to stretch out and the bathroom is never too crowded.  But you will definitely need earplugs.  I agree that high on the backstretch is the best but not always available.

Now don't you guys get bitching about the prices and food again, no74 falcon will call us low-class dumb tightwads again like he did last week, and much worse the week before that.
Take the positive road instead.
Figure out how much the big weekend trip is going to cost you. In my case it's $500 total for the two of us with motel, restaurants, gas, 11 hours of driving, etc. Then tally up how much it would cost to go to every "local" race your heart desires for the rest of the season. So far my total is up to $120 planned or spent for last weekend and next, and about a quarter of the driving. Still got $380 to spend!
You don't have to actually skip the ROC, but it's a nice exercise to at least know you have alternatives. Granted, they aren't the ROC, but they don't cost $500 either and can be fun in and of themselves. Just something to think about.
And you won't have to wear ear protection at 99 percent of them.

Real good chance I've been to my last ROC!  My old memory's not as good as it used to be but wasn't it $65 for a weekend pit pass last year?  First hesitation came when it got changed to 3 days.  Just about had myself talked into that then I see the prices in this thread.  Sorry Andy.  I guess I'll save my money for the Open! :'(

Only two in your motel?

Dude you got room for at least 6 more peeps.

Then your weekend will be even cheaper. :-*
