Racing Discussion / Jennerstown LM 150L 10k to win
« on: 05 Feb, 2019 19:00 »
Ok late model teams this is a big one. Jennerstown announced today that the 150L late model race 8/10/19 will now be 10k to win plus several shots at bonus money. Last Lear was 6k and 18 cars showed up and put on a great show. Today they added money into the race and made this years race 10k to win. If you can dust off the car and toss a set of tires on for this show then it should be for sale.

I haven’t seen or heard of anyone other than locals going after the big paydays in the 3 races that day. I was hoping to see some familiar guys out there. Is anyone going?

So for the first time this season I heard a radio ad for a track. That’s gotta be good for a few extra fans Especially this week. When a lot of people are on vacation.

I know the series mainly operates at a select few tracks so they get the conn/mass Teams.  I’m sure many pa/ny guys would like to see the series come farther south. I for one would like to see evergreen and Jennerstown on the schedule. Are there other tracks that would be a great fit?

Late models 150L 6000/800 any type on template late model should be legal with different rules TBA. If you have an asphalt late model it seems to be legal for this show. If your late models are off that weekend go take a shot. It could be big. Imca mods and 4 cyl are also going to run for 3000/200 50L mod And 1000 to win 4 cyl 35L

So in the past 4 years the track has put out payout info and entry lists at least 3-4 weeks before the show. This year it's 10 days away and no payout or entry list has been put out. I would think that this is info that they would put out way in advance. Nobody wants to pay $30 a head to see the car counts that they have had this season. Just wondering if it's even gonna be a decent turnout. Anyone going besides the 12 mods, 15 SS , and 10 LM that were there all year?

Other than the guys running for points with the series who else is planning to go race at the best track in PA. This is a first for roc and first in many years for the tour mods.

When you tell the drivers that if they don't like it they shouldn't come back and you yell at them loud enough that it can be heard 100 feet away instead of behind closed doors. And you hold up the show to see if a favored driver can get back out then eventually you will get your wish and end up like the many other tracks who are closed or have half fields.

Video speaks for itself 4 races in a row including 2 tracks. People are not happy with a certain driver. But the actions of an official to swing at a driver. That guy shouldn't be in an official position if he wants to swing at a driver.

With the weather most likely gracing us with some rainouts. Hopefully some guys will take a road trip. Late models are 850 to win and 350 I think to start. Borrow or buy a used set of tires and go play

Someone posted on sjdr that it was late when Mvs finished sat. First they started 1/2 hour late  because they were fixing a broken gate. They had triple 25's for mods which means that there are 2 extra features. They called to 4 cyl feature for too many yellows and ran feature only for dirt mods which saved some time but There were 3 consi's ( name a track that even has enough cars to need 3  consi's) even on a normal night it's 11pm till it's over. Add the 1/2 hour delay and 2 extra features and I think 11:30 was a fast show. This guy says they should run 3 mod features first but if they did that then several guys wouldn't be able to run all 3 because they need that time. They ran a couple features between mod races for a reason and it works.  why would you drive 3 hours knowing that they have 6 classes and extras then bitch that it took to long.  I've been to tracks with 3-5 classes 1 5 car heat per class and single file features and left in 2-3 hours but felt ripped off.    Sorry guys had to put it out there.
