RACE OF CHAMPIONS MODIFIED SERIES AND LAKE ERIE SPEEDWAY POSTPONE JUNE 6TH EVENT AT LAKE ERIE SPEEDWAY
Elma, New York (May 27, 2020) – Race of Champions Modified Series and Lake Erie Speedway management will be postponing the June 6 event at Lake Erie Speedway, which featured the Race of Champions Sportsman Modifieds and Race of Champions Super Stocks, the event also included the Midwest Compacts, U.S. (INEX) Legend Cars, and Bandoleros.
The event has been postponed due to state and county restrictions due to COVID-19. Race of Champions Modified Series and Lake Erie Speedway are working toward an agreement to reschedule the event based on the reopening phases that the state of Pennsylvania have in place along with an alternative plan that works for all constituents. Currently, Erie County Pennsylvania remains in the “yellow” phase of the state’s reopening plan.
Phased reopening in all states varies based on the guidelines set forth by local, regional and state authorities following the guidelines.
In the event that any event is rescheduled and/or run on the scheduled date, all guidelines as set forth by any authority including the CDC will be followed. Teams should begin preparing to wear masks and social distance.
The Race of Champions will be introducing their contactless points of purchase, membership and event registration in the next two weeks.
