FREEDOM MOTORSPORTS PARK PULLS PLUG ON JUNE 21, 2019 EVENT.
Bixby Hill Shootout featuring the 4th Annual Jim Torrance Memorial to be made up on June 28.
(Delevan, NY) With several inches of rain that has fallen over the past few weeks at the Freedom Motorsports Park and with an extremely wet week leading up to the scheduled June 21, 2019 Jim Torrance Memorial races, the track, spectator parking as well as pit parking were deemed to saturated for use thus the cancellation of the Friday night of competition.
“When I arrived at the track on Friday morning I immediately knew that racing was going to be in jeopardy, stated track owner Bob Reis. The parking lots and pit area are soaked to the point where we would have been towing vehicles thru the mud and everybody would have been stuck. On top of that the track has not been draining well due to the fact the ground is saturated with water. With that I had no choice but to cancel the show. The extended weather looks good for next week with much warmer conditions which hopefully will help to dry things out.”
The event, in its entirety will be moved back just one week till June 28, a date that was originally scheduled as a tentative rain date should many shows get washed out during the season.
Sixt Lumber will be back to sponsor the night featuring the Super Late Models, the DIRTcar Sportsman, Street Stocks, Mini Stocks, Bandits and Pure Stock Divisions.
