Any results yet? How many cars ?
Alot of cars, 44b Kurtis Benjamin - Front Wheel Drive, M13 Ernie Martin-ProStocks, 4 Rich Powell-Minis
really good racing but one prob ....do they own a black flag one ex look at the pro stocks the 2nd place car gets drove over and all they do is put the 28 and the guy that got dumped to the back ... the 28 drove over everyone to get up to 3rd ....
then we are leavin and i see the crew of the 28 in a diff pit trying to fight come on we dont need this for a good track black flag the guys the crash everything to get to the front.... and the races could of been over befor they did i know its a new track put tech on the outside so we can keep running .....one good thing they have amazing food i can take the fam and not spend $40 to feed them good track just some small stuff to be worked out but it was good racing keep up the good work your doing
I agree... Tech in the pits not in the infield holding up the other races.....
Track surface SUCKS out loud!!!! Dirt and rocks....
Now for what really pisses me off... They put on the website and posted flyers at other racetracks saying "bring your car and you WILL race" .. First thing I see when I get there is tech men telling people you can't have this or that. I inquire about bringing my car in the future and was told I wouldn't be allowed to race. Good thing I didn't bring my car this week!!!!
I was actually pretty impressed today. A ton of potential and a few kinks to work out. Yea the surface sucks but its going to be clayed this winter from what I heard. Low pit fee and payouts that are pretty good..
I love it that they actually did a safety inspection before the races. Yea it took a while but there are several other tracks that don't do that or just don't care. FWD and the rest the top 5 get checked (tech)after the races. Cant remember the last time this ever happened at some other tracks.
All in all a good day for a new(old)track. Can't wait to go back
Anyone got a rough car count? Sounds like it was a good start for the track
We really enjoyed the racing, and really impressed with car count & payouts, even for DNS is $15.00. New bathrooms an clean, food was great & Mr. Spencer was very sociable. They are here so we have a place to race an fans to watch, it's not about making money for them.
It's about the love of the sport it sounded to me.
Thank you to the Spencer Family.
Now for tech, about time someone checked at a track for safety for the drivers. As far as I know everyone raced who showed up. Yes I am sure there are changes to be made by next week to match the rule book. I did not mind the top 5 being checked Woodhull & Fivemile do it all the time.
What bugged us was all the parade laps the flagger gave the fields of cars.
Suggestion: when cars come out they should be ready to take the green in turn 4 as they come around they first time, not 3rd or 4th time, and the same after caution. Stop them in front of flagger so the rest catch up, when get to turn 4 go green. It would save tons of time, gas, & patients. But over all it was good racing we were glad to be back there for sure.
I do hope that the officials stick to the rule book for close enjoyable racing & fairness to all.
Sooooo what were the car counts?
Very cool to see another race track opening up. In an era where it's getting increasingly easier to shut them down, it's refreshing to see someone put forth the effort to make a place for us to play. Here's hoping that they get the kinks worked out. Be patient and most of all, be positive....
Sooooo what were the car counts?
I received an email that said around 60 cars were there but don't hold me to it just passing the buck! LOL.
I counted about 66. There was a LM 358 AN IMCA'S there to test. They are thinking of adding them and running Friday an Sunday shows. Part of them 1 day and the rest would be the other.
Just curious what were they paying for Minis..like how much to win and tow money?
They are paying minis $200 towin and $25 tow money that is the pay for rear wheel drive minis
Thats what they have posted on their website
Lets not forget the 01 of Joe Bennett who won his heat and feature in the factory stock !!
