Hey everyone...what started two weeks ago as an idea has blossomed...I'm now doing a weekly FB Live show called (surprise) "Cowboy's Racing Roundup".  I'm spending an hour each week going over news, doing some interviews, and taking questions via the chat during the FB Live broadcast.

This started on my personal page, but it's now moving to one of my radio station's FB pages (the link is posted below).

Had DTD's own Mike Mallett as a guest last week (thanks Mike!) and have a guest already lined up for this week's show with a good story to tell.

For those of you who may have run a previous event at Skyline (and for those that haven't), the track is back in the hands of the original owners, the Payne family. The previous kart track was wiped out and a new track constructed that sits entirely in the infield of the 3/8 mile stock car track (they do not share a common frontstretch). This is their first attempt at doing this type of event, but they have some experienced people helping them get going. It's not a series-type environment...it's not high paying...but if you're looking for a new track to try where you can enjoy racing without a lot of stress and pressure, this would be the place!

If you're looking for a different type of racing fix, Champion Speedway in Owego, NY is offering FREE Grandstand Admission for TWO separate racing events Saturday.

Quads/3 Wheelers/Dirt Bikes will take to the track for a full program of heats and mains at noon.

Our final Jim Brown Series race for Karts/Microds/Hurricanes/Lawn Mowers will start with hot laps at 5pm.

Overnight rains and an unfavorable forecast of more rain today have forced us to cancel today's (7/13) Summer Broiler event at Rolling Wheels.

The rain date for the event is Thursday, July 27th.

Too much rain...4 Cyl Demo Derby moved to 5/13, Enduro to be rescheduled.

While the 2+ inches of rain that fell Thursday night and Friday morning did not have a terrible effect on the track surface, the pit area and parking lots at the track are extremely soft and there's still standing water in places, making some areas unusable...that, combined with the cold temperatures forecast for tonight, are unfortunately combining to force CMP officials to cancel tonight's racing program for April 22nd. We will post any makeup dates for tonight's events if they can be rescheduled. We apologize, but there hasn't been enough time for the grounds to dry out properly. See you next week!
