The shutdown

 What are your thoughts and opinions of the Government shutdown?

My thoughts are quite simple....for many years, the Democrats have ram-rodded their agenda through both houses of Government, because despite all of their big talk, Republicans don't have the "intestinal fortitude" (a polite term for what rhymes with walls), to go toe-to-toe with the Dems. Therefore, when push has turned to shove, the 'Pubs usually buckle, and the Dems are used to this being "business as usual". This has allowed the Dems to push their "quasi-socialistic" agenda on the backs of Americans.

President Trump, thank God, isn't "business as usual", and the Dems simply don't know how to cope with it, so they're throwing a childish tantrum, assuming it will get them their way, as has been in the past. I sincerely hope that he stays the course.

 I see it as Trump is the one having the tantrum and is the one pushing, for the wall.  I suggest he pay for it himself and get the Mexican Government to reimburse him.  He certainly must have access to the money required and it will also allow him to keep his word.  That is important isn't it?

 He's proven time and again he cant be taken at his word which is really a shame.  The Democrats are willing to negotiate once he reopens the Government...Sounds fair to me.

 The real crime in all of this is the innocent people who are no longer receiving a paycheck and their children and the suffering this causes.  How he sleeps at night is beyond me.

Have you forgotten, "If you want to, you can keep your doctor", or "You will save $2500 per year on your medical insurance", or "We have THOUSANDS of shovel ready jobs available", or "I did NOT have sexual relations with that woman", or "Do you mean clean it, like with a cloth"....
