Racing Discussion / why is it?
« on: September 12, 2010, 12:32:02 PM »
Why is it that all the tracks in the northeast insist on grading any cusion or berm off when one builds up? Last night at blackrock there was a nice cusion built up and that allowed some great two and three wide racing in the heats. After they removed it during the intermission there was much less passing as they took the top away! Maybe someone on here could help me out on this!

When we were headed west on 88 friday night around 11:30 just befroe the cobelskill exit we caught a quick glimpse of some race of to the north of 88.
Does anyone know what or where I was looking at?  I looked at the maps and the only thing I could figure was it was at the fairgrounds but I didnt see any
thing on their site.

Racing Discussion / Glen Ridge
« on: June 27, 2010, 10:42:44 AM »
Went to Glen Ridge for the ess show friday night and have to say that the track did a great job. The place was overfilled with fans (standing room only) and the track kept the show moving very quickly all the way up to the sprint feature! One short intermission and they had the show going again! Great to see Tony Stewart race and overall a nice facility!
Wish the surface had held up a little better but they had a lot of cars racin. Hope they make this event an annual event and maybe even put in some more grandstands! LOL

What a fast little track.  ;D

What a great race it was today!! That being said it is sad to say I will probably never attend again :-[. That was probably the worst run show that I have ever  been to, and if a track is going to have races then they should be ready and have equipment ready, ie speedy dry, to do so!!! I also took two people with me that had never been to a race and both were dissapointed and will probably never go to another because of the long intermission, extended hot laps for sportsmans and numerous cautions for cones being run over and thrown onto the racing surface. What does it say when you have to have a fuel stop at lap 21 for crying out loud.  ::) The whole show could have been run in 2 hours and they dragged it out for almost 4!

Wake up people this is why your stands arent being filled every week!!!!!
