87 SBC questions
« on: January 01, 2015, 01:08:09 PM »
I have an 87 small block chevy with one piece rear main seal. I'm trying to put my bert tranny to it, but running into a lot of problems. Is their anyway to hook it up or do I have to find an old block before it will. The engine drive flange is to big. I Have put a lot of money in this motor. Any help would be great, Thank you.

Schultis, you should call Troyer's for the correct coupler, I think the one that fits a crate engine is what you are looking for.

I don't know about a Bert, but with a Falcon hex head bolts do not work.  You will need either socket cap screws or the 12 point ones from ARP.
