According to Cuomo, the fingerlakes area has met the 7 points of Covid criteria, now it's time to be an American again, and like Waltrip say's lets go racing boy's. Just don't be stupit , keep your distance and wear a mask when you are near other people. We can do this, john sr.

Good Luck because Cuomo could care less about auto racing.

Took the words right out of my mouth!!

Now, if there was betting on the cars, like there is on the horses, therefore an opportunity to generate tax income, I'm sure that would be a different story.....

No mass gatherings until phase 4  Dont look for anything to open with spectators at all this year unless people start rising up and take this state back.

Cuomo said yesterday that he encourages professional sports to restart and the state would help.  Not sure what that means as far as spectators.  But most of the tracks could have people sit 6 feet apart with the attendance I've seen the last couple of years at the weekly tracks.

While that's good news, how can they possibly do that, from a financial standpoint? The local short tracks don't have the lucrative TV broadcast contracts, to supply income, so how can they run the show and pay out the prize money, without the spectators buying tickets?

Pay Per View at $15/event or $199/season. No different than sitting in the stands. But no/limited concessions may hurt.

Is this true (PPV)? that seems like a good Idea? I would PPV for some racing in our regions!

Just sell track licenses, mandate track bought tires and fuel, and raise the back gate.  Problem solved.

Wearing a mask at any NY dirt track is almost manditory anyway so that won't be an issue.

They should have looters night. Bring a brick, a length of pipe, a chair anything you can throw

and let in the crowd. They are excempt it seems from SD and maybe we can pack the place.

otherwise you can kiss local racing goodbye till Fall at the earliest.   NY sux.
