HAGERSVILLE, ON ? DJ Kennington and Brandon Watson Visit JMS Victory Lane to Conclude the 2018 Season.

Written by: Dan Cabral
For Kennington, his NASCAR Pinty?s Series triumph was the first of his 2018 campaign. For Watson, his win during the 50-lap Limited Late Model showcase ? a first since Jukasa?s reopening ? was the latest chapter in a season that has been spent in victory lane piloting everything from Limited Late Models to Pro Late Models to Super Late Models.
?It feels amazing to finally win one of these (NASCAR Pinty?s Series) races,? beamed Kennington post-race after earning his first series triumph since August 2013. ?We?ve felt like we were close so many times in the last three seasons, and to finally break through at Jukasa is an incredible feeling?
Kennington outran former series winner Donald Theetge and 2017 series championship runner-up Kevin Lacroix for the win. Veteran LP Dumoulin captured the 2018 NASCAR Pinty?s Series Championship ? his second in five years ? with a 10th-place finish in the 200-lap event.
?It?s an honour to win another championship ? and being able to clinch it during (Fall Brawl weekend) makes it even more special,? said Dumoulin. ?I can?t express just how big of a role my team played with all of their hours in the shop and the incredible amounts of effort they?ve put into our time on the road?
Brandon Watson?s dominant highlight-reel performance in the 50-lap Limited Late Model portion of the event was his second Jukasa win this month, with the third-generation star having captured the APC United Late Model Series Canadian Short Track Nationals 100 on September 1st.
?I can?t say enough about Mike McColl and the cars that McColl Racing Enterprises put together,? said Watson upon clearing post-race technical inspection. ?We had a fast car right from practice to time trials to victory lane. My job is the easy part when you have a car as good as this one?
For Jukasa Motor Speedway General Manager Alex Nagy, the second edition of the Pinty's Fall Brawl event was a fitting end to a tremendous 2018 season.
?This was the best season we could have possibly asked for ? and I can?t thank everyone who made it possible,? said Nagy. ?From the fans, to our staff, all the teams that passed through the gates here all season ? none of this would have been possible without all of us working together?
?2018 was a fantastic year for Jukasa Motor Speedway and we?re going to keep working to make improvements for the fans and the racers. We?re already back in the office working on our 2019 schedule and I?m positive that it?ll be something that will have everyone talking and excited for next season.?
