I know this might get some people upset and I will get why don't you buy the track argument but I don't see why anyone would still want to race or go watch any races at Holland anymore.  With today's internet age, you don't have to have a meteorologist degree to figure it out if it's going to rain. I sat and watched the weather site yesterday and saw the little light green blurr go over the top of Holland speedway last night from 5-6 pm and saw that there was no other rain forcasted for the next six hours.  There was no way that Holland should have cancelled last night. They should have done all that was possible to get that show in especially since it was championship night.  It's just not fair to the drivers/sponsors, and fans who want to support this track.  It seems that this track will cancell in a heartbeat if they have afternoon shower or there is any chance of rain in the forecast.  I just wish they would follow what the other dirt tracks in this region (ransomville and Merrittville) are doing.  Ransomville had a major downpour up to 4 pm on Friday night and still raced. Did they have huge crowd in the stands? No but they had a decent crowd and a full field of cars in all their divisions.  This allows the race car drivers a chance to race, make a little money in order to race the next week and give their sponsors the exposure they deserve.  There is no way you are going to build a fan base and increase car counts if you cancell anytime there is a sprinkle or a chance of rain.  Oh by the way, Merrittville and Lake Erie got their shows in last night.  Holland could have run last night. It's a shame that they didn't.

Well Dirt tracks are a lot different, you can not compare apples to oranges. It is sad that they had no rain date i agree there. What happen to lancaster last night what happen to them?

Laffman, I know that dirt tracks are different than pavement tracks but my point is that Holland needs to make a better attempt at getting their shows in.  It did not rain that hard yesterday in Holland and they easily could have raced last night.  What I was trying to compare with the the dirt tracks is that they don't cancell  if there is a threat of rain.  Many times this year ransomville still raced when there was a 70-100% chance of rain. There has been some nights, it was raining a 1/10Th of mile away of the track and they still got the show.  Even the trade paper writer, Dave Sully joked about the Doom above the track in his write ups.  My point is these tracks don't cancell.  That's why they average 2000+ plus fans and 100+ cars weekly at their track.  Lancaster is in the same boat as Holland.  They cancelled too early also because it might be in the 50's and windy  at night.  This track is also hurting in the fans and car counts.  These track owners need to make a better attempt to get their shows in for the drivers and fans period!!!

I think if it rains out..being the track is a business..they get a big tax break..probably why they cancel so quick...But Holland has gone to hell over the years with poor management.

I would have favored a Sunday make up race or Monday. Ending a year on "what If" is not cool!
