Racing Discussion / Re: Newer up to date street stock bodies

Let 'em all run. The more variety the more fan appeal. When the old folks (like me) demand only old styles be allowed, we are dooming our sport. Variety is the spice of life, and racing.  ***However, the outlaw style bodies which resemble nothing ever produced... Nope.

Humpy just repeated my many RaceNY posts, maybe I'm really his long lost son, or he's been reading this board. Dang his wealth and connections.

And that's the way to film a race and promote racing

Ya, that's what were talking about. I love this Gator Man who honors his Dad's memory each year.

Racing Discussion / Re: Asphalt Modifieds on Dirt?

Those trucks were slippery loose, so what if the mods are. Just like the dirt cars on asphalt are limited to changes, so should the asphalt mods. Like TH said, too far to haul but maybe at a smooth track in NY.

Supermodifieds bring in their own fan base (met several that I recruited as mod fans). They need the front pits because of the push trucks. Yes the ROC is changing's. As a fan and racer, I like the change. But... I agree the Supers break was too long and was disappointed in the wreckfest, on Sunday. We will be back for Classic weekend with our Mod

My driver turned mechanic and obtained a tranny and got her installed. So add the #88

RJP Paid & Norine Paid

Thanks for the offer dINZ, you're a good man. We may have found a T350 for #88.

Idea, 100 lap Sunoco Mod race, cars get points at lap 30, 60 and 100. Allow one extra tire, one competition stop for fuel (heck the supermodifieds do it). Yee Haw, hot summer night racing action.
