Merry Christmas everyone. What gear do we need in a SS to hit about 7200 at Oswego? Have you NYSS guys made a decision on a tire for 2019?

Holland would be a nice place for a race.

If you are not familiar with the area you may not know that exiting at Silver Creek for gas or diesel will save you some dough. The reservation is near the exit and it is a good place to  fill a thirsty motorhome's tank. If you are concerned about the condition of 90, exit at Hamburg, take 20 West, it runs parallel with 90 in that area. Fill up just before Silver Creek then hop back on 90 at Silver Creek. As the other guy said, 90 isn't that bad in that area.

Raceway 7 is off the first exit into Ohio, they run Friday nights. It's not far from Erie Pa. Then Stateline runs Saturday nights, it's  in the western end of Ny too. Stateline puts on a whale of a show. Sunday night Eriez is doing a fine job of entertaining the race fans and it's just outside Erie also.  Here's Raceway 7's schedule.

Are the engines in the Florida Mods something a working man can afford or have the went to the point of pricing themselves out of existence?

Eric Hadley is from Fredonia. And that is a great race. Thanks for all the work you guys put into it. If more series policed tires the way you NYSS boys do area racing would be much better off.

We all need to find an asphalt division that is that inexpensive to race, then limit tires to 1 new per week as do the NYSS boys. Not everybody can afford tour mods and late models and tracks can't afford to pay them weekly.

Darwin I agree. You don't need IMCA sanctioning or have to  follow the rules and tires exactly. Just roughly use their model of cost control. There is no reason we should have to spend big$$ on shocks to go racing for fun. IMCA style modifieds are fun and affordable on dirt and blacktop. Jennerstown is running their version of them. Stateline and Eriez are experimenting with their own ideas. We will have to watch and see how it works out over the next couple years.
