We go to the horse races at the fairgrounds. About 12 years ago the horse racing people moved the back straightaway back by about 25 feet. Now the outside wall is extremely close to the Bazaar building. Because of the wall I don't think there will be any races on the oval in the future. During the fair every year they have Tractor pulls and a demo derby on the front straightaway.

If I remember correctly the last race run on the oval was the Empire Super Sprints in 1996 or 1997.

My sons collected $22 worth of cans at Holland Speedway during a Busch North race in the early 1990's. That is over 400 cans. The car trunk was overflowing with cans.       :o
