St Catharines, ONT…After six months and 53 events, the 2012 Bicknell Racing Products (BRP) CanAm Series is complete.
From the beginning of the 10th anniversary Series with a green flag on April 12 through a checkered flag on September 29 a total of 53 BRP CanAm events were completed at the four member tracks. Ted White at Woodhull Raceway hosted the opener, the closer and a total of 21 events. Jim Mazur at Raceway 5 hosted 17 events. Dean Hoag at Black Rock Speedway hosted 10 events. John Charlesworth at Little Valley Speedway scheduled six events, but completed only five after a July rainout.
At season’s end a total of 65 drivers had earned points. Most of them with entries in Series Tour events, BRP Dart Challenge events, and Series Weekly events. 15 drivers had 100% attendance on the Tour while 18 drivers stayed close to home and were credited with home track points only.
14 different drivers scored A-Main victories during the 10th anniversary Series. John Waters lead everyone in the win category with a record breaking 19 trips to victory lane. Dave DuBois was a nine time winner. Jeremy Wonderling, defending Series champion, carried the checkered flag five times. Bruce Miller and Glenn Whritenour each recorded three A-Main wins. Jason Knowles, Jon Rivers, Billy VanPelt, Dusty Waters, and Mike Wonderling all recorded two wins. Making single trips to victory lane were Adam Depuy, Rick Hale, Jim Johnson, and Brian Knowles.

Miller won Tour events at Black Rock and Little Valley. Miller closed out the season with a win in the final Series Weekly event at Woodhull last month. The 38 year old second generation race car driver from Wellsville, NY now owns 10 BRP CanAm Tour event victories including the first ever Tour event which was held at Little Valley Speedway in 2003.
