66th ANNUAL RACE OF CHAMPIONS WEEKEND TO HAVE SMALL BLOCK SUPERMODIFIEDS
-Saturday Event to pay $700-to-Win for Oswego Speedway Weekly Racers-
Oswego, N.Y. – (September 1, 2016) – The 66th Annual Race of Champions Weekend will offer Small Block Supermodified racers another opportunity to compete at their home track. Small Block Supermodified competitors will compete in a 25-lap feature on Saturday, September 17 as part of the historic weekend at the track. The feature event will pay $700 to the winner and $100 to take the green flag in the 25-lap event.
“This race carries on a tradition that has been established since the Race of Champions has made Oswego Speedway its home,” offered Oswego Speedway’s Dan Kapuscinski. “We have a great base of competitors and this just enhances their season, it really puts the icing on the cake and it brings a great element of entertainment to the weekend for race fans. The teams are really looking forward to being a part of an exciting weekend.”
The Race of Champions Small Block Supermodifieds will be a part of the show on Saturday, September 17 as a prelude to the 66th Annual Race of Champions 250 for the Ferris Mowers Race of Champions Asphalt Modified Series fueled by Sunoco. The race will be based on the draw, with top qualifiers from the qualifying races taking part in a redraw prior to the 25-lap feature.
