MAV TV and SPECTRUM IN Western NY
« on: April 09, 2018, 05:23:30 PM »
I just called MAV TVs Head Office today and inquired as to why Spectrum in does not carry MAV TV in the Buffalo and Western NY market. They told me "SPECTRUM SHOULD BE CARRYING THEIR PRODUCT IN THIS MARKET AREA" In other areas MAV TV  is located on Ch 402 and it should be located there as reserved in WNY. They told me they will inquire as to why it is not being carried in WNY and they will let me know within 48 hrs.

WHEN THEY CALL I WILL PASS ALONG THEIR RESU;TS OF THEIR FINDINGS.

I WANT MY MAV TV!!!

I've been calling and asking why they don't carry it in Rochester and they just say it's not available. I know they get it in Fulton and Oswego

According to their Rochester area channel guide--Rochester does not have it; not even as a premium channel!

Your right and that is what the MAV TV Rep said is wrong. MAV TV is supposed to part of the package and that is what hes looking into and why its not.

In my experience, negotiations take place between channels and the cable companies as to what amount of money needs to be exchanged to insert channels into their lineup.

I believe that cable companies are NOT permitted bu the FCC to offer "a-la carte" packages (or pay only for what you want)--I'm not sure but I think "satellite" providers have similar restrictions...

I'm in Buffalo and we don't get MAV TV. I think the Chili Bowl is on the channel. What other racing events are on MAV TV?
