Dutch Hoag didn't race the 1970 Langhorne National Open due to illness and Mitch Smith drove his coupe with Lee Osborne driving his Valiant.
Dutch was driving his Camaro at the last Langhorne National Open in 1971. The picture posted was taken in the 1971 event as was stated. The deal was the original field didn't have a #71 in it, and that included renumbered cars. It was rained out, and the race was run a week later. Bugs Stevens, Fred DeSarro and Jerry Cook decided to skip the race and went to compete at a Martinsville race instead for NASCAR points. Three other drivers didn't return either that were in the original field. That opened up the field for six drivers to be added when the race was actually run. NJ's Mike Grbac was able to make the field with his renumbered #71 and as a sidenote he wasn't even an original alternate starter (there were four of them) after the original field was set.
