People and tracks need to lose the mentality of "if you don't like it then don't show up". This is partially what caused the short track problem we have, there are no more cars to lose tracks can't afford to have smaller fields then they do, for years the answer to financial problems has been to put a bandaid on it by making up the difference at the back gate, the racers need to make a sacrifice. The problem is the racers have nothing left to sacrifice. Tracks need to figure out how to get cars back in order to get fans back. I don't know if it's purses, rules, change divisions or even nights of the week, that's the promoters job to figure that out.
