Press Releases and Results / skyline sept 29th
« on: September 24, 2017, 03:01:51 PM »
Race September 29th will be a New Race , Starting Scratch meaning we will be running heats and features in all classes. The reason behind this is because many teams may not be returning because of the FULTON weekend ( and we have got calls confirming this). And some had already confirmed this on day of rainout. There are no points to worry about at our track or any track locally so therefore we are opening it up to any cars to join in and have a good show for our fans and sponsor for the night. So we don't end up with features with no cars in them, as many of our original cars will be at Fulton. The wristbands will be honored if you are on list from pits from that night and Grandstands tickets will also be honored from August 18th if you have correct color and numbers from that night. Any other cars, teams wanting to join in will just have to pay normal pit pass like any other night. Same with fans. This will be a draw re-draw event.
Hope to see you Friday!!

This Friday September 8th when the lights turn on over Skyline Raceway Park in Virgil New York it will be Championship Night on the sophomore season for Dean Catlin under the control of the track! Catlin and his team have done everything they can to give the fans the ultimate racing experience to draw larger car counts and quality drivers to the 3/8 Bullring nestled in the Country Hills of Virgil New York. This Friday night will not be an exception as Catlin has introduced draw redraw format with most of the area race tracks being off this Friday there's expected to be a huge field of cars at Skyline as the race for the championship is winding down. The action on the racetrack is sure to be a crowd favorite several Southern Tier teams have made it their intent to compete at Skyline this Friday night including the likes of Nick Nye in his potent 6nn Crate Sportsman along with Jackson Pennsylvania's Mike Nagel Jr multi time feature winner on the 2017 racing season to mix in with Skylines regular Heavy Hitters Stacy Jackson, Pat Jordan, Young Gun Garrett Rushlow and Greg Doust with a whole host of top Skyline Crate contenders. The Open Sportsman's in the last 4 weeks haven't seen a different winner since Candor New York's Brian White made the decision to call Skyline Raceway his Friday night home. Whites taking the quicks logging 56 to the Lane in his last four attempts the staff and management of Skyline Raceway have put $100 bounty on the Open Sportsman who can beat Brian White while he's still on the lead lap if White happens to win again this Friday the Bounty will double to $200 and roll over to the turbo blue weekend! Dont forget the Rookie/Novice Division will be having a Special Friday night. With $225 on the line. A full 7 division show can be seen for only $11 General grandstand admission. Don't forget this week will be having Car Load for $25 in Grandstands. Lanson Albanese from Pop's Automotive has put up an extra $100 to the Street Stock winner this Friday night to bring the street stock winners share to $600 and with the gamblers fee collected throughout the racers in the pit area the Open and Crate winners can easily exceed $1,000 this Friday night. If you haven't made the trip up to Skyline Raceway Park in 2017 this Friday night is a great time to take in the multi grooved racing as it provides wheel to wheel racing action like no other! In event of rainy weather Skyline Raceway Park's Staff and management have already secured Sunday September 10th as a rain date. Please follow Facebook at Skyline Raceway Park for the latest news and updates on this weekend's Big 7 division championship program! Thanks for choosing to race with us at skyline!
