 I appreciate virtually all your well thought out articulated posts.  That being said help me understand your reasoning behind your belief  Jimmy Z. shouldn't have been allowed to return to the track.   I assume the fire was put out and the car was race-able?  I don't have enough information.  Just because an official said so isn't sufficient enough to prevent Jimmy resuming to race.  Is there a rule that applies to a car where a fire occurred?  Can you can shed some light....?

 I cam across this article today and wonder if anyone uses the firing order mentioned and is it legal.  IIRC some tracks forbid Chevy engines from using the Ford firing order which has been claimed to improve performance.
