Off Topic Discussion / Jeff Foxworthy on Upstate New York
« on: January 13, 2018, 01:22:10 PM »
Here is what Jeff Foxworthy has to say about people who live in Upstate New York...

Forget Rednecks.... If someone in a Home Depot store offers you assistance and they don't work there, you live in Upstate New York. If you've worn shorts and a parka at the same time, you live in Upstate New York.

If Vacation means going anywhere south of New York City for the weekend, you live in Upstate New York. If you measure distance in hours, you live in Upstate New York. If you know several people who have hit a deer more than once, you live in Upstate New York.

If you have switched from 'heat' to 'A/C' in the same day and back again, you live in Upstate New York. If you can drive 75 mph through 2 feet of snow during a raging blizzard without flinching, you live in Upstate New York. If you install security lights on your house and garage but leave both unlocked, you live in Upstate New York.

If you carry jumpers in your car and your wife knows how to use them, you live in Upstate New York. If you design your kid's Halloween costume to fit over a snowsuit, you live in Upstate New York.

If the speed limit on the highway is 55 mph you're going 80 and everybody is passing you, you live in Upstate New York. If driving is better in the winter because the potholes are filled with snow, you live in Upstate New York.

If you know all 4 seasons: almost winter, winter, still winter and road construction, you live in Upstate New York. If you have more miles on your snow blower than your car, you live in Upstate New York. If you find 10 degrees 'a little chilly', you live in Upstate New York.

If there's a Dunkin Donuts on every corner, you live in Upstate New York. If you think everyone else has a funny accent, you live in Upstate New York.

If you actually understand these jokes, and forward them to all your Upstate New York friends, you live or have lived in Upstate New York.

Used to help protect the wiring in your vehicle from furry critters, especially wiring made with soy based product.

Comes with a good review from the site which tracks how authentic reviews are.

The issue remains for me when using Chrome and the security warning is different than the one I get from the anti-virus software I have.

Using Chrome it began when I was forced to "upgrade" to Windows 10 to make a device compatible with it.  No issue when using Firefox though.

 Well Leadfoot,

Much remains to be known about what has transpired.  As for the money spent, had Trump and company been forthcoming it may have been less.  Maybe you don't question the cast of characters he surrounds himself with but I do. While that in itself is no crime it fails to pass the smell test.  He's hiding something in my opinion.  But in the end there are many who could care less, correct?

Answer me you view Trump as being a liar?  If so, does it matter to you?

In another article I read it questioned why Walmart hasn't made the same type of move.

Someone got spanked severely yesterday. Not once, but twice. The spanking occurred at Wall Stadium. I guess Laminate and all the rest of the "Chump Change" fans will just have to send back all those monogrammed #60 "ONESIES".
Details please...

nm, found them.

The consequences of the passage of this bill are immeasurable.  Utter failure on he and his administration...if he didn't know he should have, period.

"I cannot in good conscience vote for the Graham-Cassidy proposal," the Arizona Republican said in a statement. "I believe we could do better working together, Republicans and Democrats, and have not yet really tried. Nor could I support it without knowing how much it will cost, how it will (affect) insurance premiums, and how many people will be helped or hurt by it. Without a full CBO score, which won't be available by the end of the month, we won't have reliable answers to any of those questions."

Off Topic Discussion / Re: Why some voted for Trump
« on: September 21, 2017, 03:46:59 PM »
What I read in the article wasn't very good. I really feel this country is more divided than those times (Viet Nam going on) and I am sure more trouble is on the way,,, Can't you beleive in something? Don't you think many good people are working for our country? Mr. Trump is our leader.. WE voted for him in the election (you voted for WHO?) sometimes people like you make me sick... Plse be a good AMERICAN, support our country and our elected President..... There will be more elections soon,,, I pray for our democracy to countinue.........
Why do you believe there is a greater division in our Country today?  How old were you when we were fighting in Vietnam?

What are your thoughts on Trump's move to get get things done?  Certainly has shaken things up.  I seriously hope the DACA thing gets resolved to the benefit of those who came here as children.  Invest our resources in deporting those with known criminal activity.

I like this guy as I previously mentioned in another post...I won't go so far as to say he's untouchable but my instinct tells me he has Trump's respect.
